庆祝华人新年 Celebrating Chinese New Year

在2月6日早上8点，

On the 6th of February,

老师和学生们, 大家都聚集在礼堂。

all teachers and students gathered in the school hall.

为了什么呢? 就是要庆祝华人新年啊！

What was the occasion? It was to celebrate Chinese New Year!

所有的节目都是华文部门艰辛的准备和策划。

All the preparations for the Chinese New Year celebration concert was planned by the Chinese department.

首个节目是“打鼓”。吵闹的打鼓声使到一些观众感觉惊讶，大家都看得非常开心！
The first concert performance was the "Chinese Drums". The loud and thunderous sound of the drums caused some audience to feel surprised and at the same time very happy!

之后是林老师的表演，他吹奏了两首美妙的新年贺曲， 使观众都听得很陶醉。

The second and fourth concert item was a saxophone performance of 2 Chinese new year song by Mr Lim who is very musically inclined. All the audience was mesmerised.

华族舞蹈的小朋友们，穿上了亮丽的服装也呈现出非常精彩的表演。

The young Chinese dance performers were dressed in bright orange colours and danced in a graceful manner that captivated all the audiences.

在“年的故事”之后，班2A 的同学便表演“唱唱跳跳”。

最后，全校的师生一起“大合唱” 五首新年歌曲便在欢乐中结束了华人新年的庆祝！

After a play entittled, "The story of Nian." which illustrated the story of chinese new year, all the chinese students from the class of 2A performed a song and dance item.

The concert ended with all the students and teachers singing consecutive 5 very joyous chinese new year songs. Everybody really enjoyed the chinese new year celebrations!
